END RUN Print Brightening Converter changes the invisible ultra-violet (UV) light reflected from a prints surface into visible white light, increasing the total visible reflectance and brilliance of the prints whites without bleaching.
The same brightening agent is manufactured into some printing papers, but can be lost during processing and washing. END RUN Print Brightening Converter adds to or replaces these built in brighteners after the final wash.
Print brightening can increase the archival permanence of prints by shielding them from UV light, which might otherwise cause image and paper deterioration. Print brightening will make some warm tone papers appear cooler in color.
END RUN Print Brightening Converter should be used as an additive to SPRINT's END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer.
Dilute END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer superconcentrate 1:99 with water as directed by instructions for using END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer. To each liter of Wetting Agent working solution, add 1-50ml END RUN Print Brightening Converter concentrate.

The visible effect of brightening varies with the type of paper, water quality, processing methods, and the amount of UV available for reflection in the viewing light source. To compensate for these factors, the strength of the Print Brightening working solution may be adjusted by changing the amount of END RUN Print Brightening Converter concentrate added per liter of END RUN Wetting Agent working solution.
For fiber-based prints, add 1-20ml Converter per liter.
For resin-coated prints, add 10-50ml Converter per liter.
For some processes, especially non-silver printing on hand sensitized paper, Print Brightening Converter concentrate may be added to plain water instead of END RUN Wetting Agent working solution. Add 1-20ml per liter of water.
Excess Print Brightener may be removed gradually by water washing.
After the final water wash, immerse for 1-3 minutes with constant agitation following the procedure described in the instructions for using END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer. Sponge squeegee and dry as usual.

TIMING |
RANGE |
| Step 1: | Final Water Wash | 5 Minute(s) | 1-10 Minute(s) |
| Step 2: | END RUN Print Brightener | 1 Minute(s) | 1-3 Minute(s) |
| Step 3: | Sponge & Dry |
Use at the same temperature as other solutions in the process, 18-30°C / 64.5-86°F. Agitate continuously for the first minute in working solution, and then for 10-15 seconds of each minute thereafter. Use only enough working solution in film tanks to cover reels and to leave an air space for thorough agitation with bubbles.
END RUN Print Brightening Converter working solution has the same capacity and shelf life as END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer working solution.
Stored with or without air in the container, END RUN Print Brightening Converter concentrate alone has a shelf life of at least 2 years.
